"Imagine No Hunger" kick-off event at Mission Mill Museum.

Marion-Polk Food Share launched their "Imagine No Hunger" sustainer campaign at Salem's Mission Mill Museum on Tuesday night. Over 400 people attended the event, which was catered by students from South Salem High School.

A simple meal was served, which included vegetable soup, dinner rolls, and chocolate cake for dessert.

The program featured a stirring video about hunger, and short speeches from Dick Withnell, Mayor Janet Taylor, and Food Share's executive director, Ron Hays. The message of the evening was clear and poignant- hunger is major problem in our community, and together, we can help end it.

Food Share's goal for the six-month campaign is to recruit 3,000 new donors for the Sustainer Circle. They are seeking monthly donations via electronic bank transfers to help fund critical programs and basic operating costs.
